About NATRA Blog

This page is meant for folks to post their thoughts on the Saturday group run. I (Neil) will post a blurb about who showed up and where it was held. From there, I hope that other runners will share their thoughts since we often have different experiences on the same run. Enjoy!

Arizona Trail Maintenance - Sandy Seep to Schultz

Northern Arizona Trail Runners Association co-sponsored a trail maintenance day with Flagstaff Biking on our Stewardship section of the Arizona Trail - 32a - from Sandy Seep to Schultz Pass. Most of the maintenance was done near the junction with Little Bear Trail where floods after the Schultz Fire have taken out the trail. Thanks to the 62 volunteers and NATRA gang (Aaron, Bret, Michael, Kathleen, Sioban, Isaac, Bruce, Neil, and Cory) who helped with the effort and eating 20 pizzas sponsored by Fratellis!

  1. Teamwork and contagious enthusiasm produce good results! Dale Shewalter's legacy continues with the team effort of NATRA, FBO and ATA under the direction of the Flagstaff RD of the Coconino National Forest. Thanks NATRA, and thanks everyone. Gay Hohner, the Arizona Trail Association
