About NATRA Blog

This page is meant for folks to post their thoughts on the Saturday group run. I (Neil) will post a blurb about who showed up and where it was held. From there, I hope that other runners will share their thoughts since we often have different experiences on the same run. Enjoy!

Mountainaire Breakfast Run

14 runners ran the Mountainaire 100 course on a blustery Saturday AM. As we started out, officers from Coconino County Sheriff's department asked us if we had seen some gun toting dudes wandering in the woods. We hadn't, and then nervously headed out for the run, with our eyes wide open. We ran up Priest/Rabbi Draw and headed back down Howard Draw. The round trip was exactly at 10K and was about as flat a run as we had ever done! We all returned to David's house and feasted on breakfast treats, coffee and Neil's extra bloody marys!

  1. Hi, what a great blog you have! My bf and I have started trail running and are having a blast. We're both from Southern California, but we'll be in Flagstaff the first full weekend of May and wanted some suggestions for a good ~11mile trail run with a couple of hills thrown in for good measure. :) We're not super familiar with Flagstaff trails (we're more mountain bikers and are familiar with Sedona trails)... Would you have any good suggestions for trails and conditions in early May? My email is smileyeyes44@gmail.com.

    Thank you! Love the blog.
