About NATRA Blog

This page is meant for folks to post their thoughts on the Saturday group run. I (Neil) will post a blurb about who showed up and where it was held. From there, I hope that other runners will share their thoughts since we often have different experiences on the same run. Enjoy!

  2. I definitely agree with Mark!

This was the first year I have done the summer series and it proved to be a great summer! I appreciate all the hard work and efforts that went into each and every race to help them run smoothly and efficiently; making for a very enjoyable summer! So thank you to Neil and all the great volunteers!

  3. Neil, I also wanted to express my & Billy's thanks to you and all the other volunteers not only for Saturday's run but for the whole running series. We were only able to participate in 2 of them but they were really highlights of both our summers. I have no suggestions for improving Saturday's run. The trail is gorgeous and well marked, water stations plentiful and weather perfect. The only improvement would have been in my fitness level but I'm afraid that's out of your control.

I had forgotten to mention that I think a volunteer would have been helpful on the Machine Solutions run at about mile 4, where the trail crosses a dirt road. Both I and Billy made wrong turns there and one of my work colleagues actually turned there as well and got lost. I'm sure the rain had washed away course markings. Just a suggestion for next year, as that was a confusing spot.

  5. My 15-year-old "little sister" and I walked the BBBS half marathon together and LOVED it. We had a wonderful time and she is really proud of herself for doing her first half marathon (who cares if we just walked it.) It was great to see all the additional runners and walkers this year. Pass the word. We'd love to have a few more big/little teams walk with us next year! Thanks to all those fantastic volunteers! Cathie Hook

  6. The course was tough, well marked and the volunteers did a great job with encouragement to all runners. Flagstaff is just a beautiful place to run, had a great time. Can't wait for the next years summer of running.
